The Occupational Safety program promotes health and wellness for all SDUSD personnel and works to reduce injuries in the workplace. In order for the safety program to be effective, it requires a multi-facetted approach. The Safety Office conducts outreach, training and consultation as well as site inspections and assessments to identify workplace hazards in order to control, reduce and eliminate occupational hazards and risks.

TRAINING
Annual CAL/OSHA Mandated Training (Injury Illness Prevention Program, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication & Fire Safety) has been incorporated into SDUSD SafeSchools Online Training.
All employees are required to have the four above listed trainings annually per CAL/OSHA regulations. Take the necessary time to ensure that you stay in compliance by completing the trainings as they are delivered to you via email.
Monthly Safety Meetings will also be delivered to you via SafeSchools, and there may be additional trainings that are sent directly by your supervisor in addition to those on SafeSchools. The monthly safety meetings and topics are include below for March - August 2021:
