When copying and pasting content from external sources like Word, Google Docs, or other websites into a web editor, "junk" HTML code often hitches a ride. This hidden code can break your site's layout, create accessibility issues, and cause inconsistent styling.

1. Use the "Paste as Plain Text" Shortcut

The simplest way to avoid the problem is to never let the junk code in.

Instead of Ctrl + V, use Ctrl + Shift + V (or Cmd + Shift + V on Mac).
This strips all formatting, leaving only the raw text for you to re-style using the editor’s built-in tools.

2. Utilize the Built-in "Remove Format" Tool

If you have already pasted content and it looks "off":

Highlight the problematic text in the Content Box .
Locate the Format Stripper icon (looks like a diagonal brush painting over text right above the yellow sunset picture icon).
Click "Strip CSS Formatting", "Strip Font Elements" and/or "Strip Span Elements" to revert the text to the default system font and size.
