The Office of Investigations, Compliance & Accountability (ICA), formerly known as the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), is dedicated to upholding the District’s mission to ensure a safe, inclusive, and equitable learning environment for all students, staff, and community members.

Our office is responsible for the following:

  • Intake, documenting, tracking of all concerns/complaints on behalf of the District
  • Managing and reviewing the Online Bullying Reporting system
  • Conduct Internal Administrative Investigations
    • These investigations revolve around policy violations and serious misconduct, Title IX and regulatory matters, and SDUSD PD complaints
  • Investigate and respond to complaints filed with state and federal regulatory agencies
    • These state and federal regulatory agencies include OCR, CRD and EEOC
  • Uniform Complaint Compliance
  • Title II Complaint Compliance
  • SDUSD Human Trafficking Prevention Program
  • Student Expulsion Referrals
  • Title IX Compliance
